African American health and wellness website to look back at first year accomplishments
Milwaukee, WI (February 26, 2014)…It’s been one year since website Brain Brawn & Body (www.brainbrawnbody.com) launched and its founders are proud of what the unique site has accomplished in a short period of time. The website, which focuses on the health and wellness of African American men and their families, will celebrate their success at an event on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at the Zilber School of Public Health, 1240 N 10th Street, Milwaukee.
City Health Commissioner Bevan Baker, Milwaukee Urban League President/CEO Ralph Hollmon and Theresa Jones, Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion Strategies Wheaton Franciscan Health Care will offer congratulatory messages. Magda Peck, Dean of the UWM School of Public Health will welcome the audience.
The UWM App Brewery, the mobile application development department will introduce a specially designed mobile application that will allow Brain Brawn & Body subscribers to monitor vital health information.
Eric Von, publisher of Brain Brawn & Body says, “Closing the gap on health disparities and answering the critical questions African American men have about their health and the health of their families were major objectives of Brain Brawn & Body when it was conceived. I am so proud of what we have accomplished to date. We thank our many subscribers, site visitors and our wonderful sponsors for the tremendous support and insight each has given us.”
The event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5:00 pm.
