Dear Reader:

June is Men’s Health Month and there are lots of events planned across the country to recognize this important period.

In Milwaukee, Mayor Tom Barrett and the Milwaukee Common Council and commissioner of public health, Dr. Bevan Baker will host a news conference and ceremony sponsored by online men’s health magazine, Brain Brawn & Body, www.brainbrawnbody.com, in the City Hall rotunda on Tuesday, June 10 at 11:30 am.

In addition to the news conference, health screenings will also be provided by website partner, Wheaton Franciscan Health Care. Men are encouraged to take advantage of the screenings which are free and open to the public.

Brain Brawn & Body founder Eric Von said, “It is critical that we maintain the focus on men’s health in this community and around the nation. As the health of men in a family goes, so goes the health of the family. Brain Brawn & Body is committed to raising awareness and closing the disparity gap that exists in health care, particularly that which impacts African American men and their families. We sincerely appreciate the support of the city fathers and our wonderful partner, Wheaton Franciscan Health Care in achieving this goal.”

More health information is available at Brain Brawn & Body and find out about other healthy events on Healthy Happenings

I invite you to read, learn, enjoy!
